Casino  Night: 
New students play roulette, black jack, and other casino games while competing  for fun prizes.
 Christmas  Tree Lighting: 
Students, faculty, and staff sing carols, light candles, drink hot cocoa and  cider before lighting the tree. The highlight is a rousing rendition of  the Twelve Days of Christmas.
 First-Year  Student Festival: 
New students enjoy music, novelties, recreation, and food after move-in.
 Fraternity  & Sorority Life Recruitment: 
The fraternities and sororities recruit new members. 
 Glow  Party: 
New students dance the night away under the glow of neon lights. Three dueling  DJs provide the music. 
  Homecoming  Court: 
Students nominate Homecoming Court representatives from the first-year,  sophomore, junior, and senior classes. The top nominees are crowned Marlin  Royalty. 
  Homecoming  Dance: 
Students attend a dance with a DJ and photographer. Dress to impress!
 Homecoming  Tailgate: 
Students and alumni enjoy live music, games, food and drinks. The tailgate  takes place during athletic events. 
  Homecoming: 
Alumni are invited back to campus to participate in a weekend of events.
 Late  Night Breakfast: 
Students are served bacon, eggs, biscuits, and more as a final treat before  exams begin. Faculty and staff help cook and serve the food.
 Marlin  Graduation Celebration:
Graduating students participate in Wesleyan Wednesday, Baccalaureate Services,  a fun outing to a local venue, and Commencement.
 Pub  'n Club: 
A series of parties with a DJ, dancing, games, and food. 
  Spa  a La Marlin on Reading Day: 
Students enjoy free de-stress activities such as massages or giveaways and  snacks before exams. 
  Spring  Alumni Weekend: 
Alumni are invited back to VWU to participate in a weekend of events.
 Student  Involvement Fair: 
Student organizations and campus departments recruit students for opportunities  for the upcoming year. 
 The  Bobbies:
Student leaders and organizations are recognized for their achievements at  these Student Leadership Awards
 Veterans  Day: 
  The campus hosts a ceremony to honor United States veterans.
